BOARD MEETING -CALIFORNIA REAL ESTATE INSPECTION ASSOCIATION

Friday April 30, 2010 may have been the longest board meeting in our associations history; 11 hours.  Meeting was held in Sacramento with Byron Duerksen Northern California Region 1 Director attending.  It was a very tiring experience with much to lern, discuss and ultimately make decisions about.  A swimming pool inspection agreement and liability issues were of major concern as the codes are changing and the risks increase.  This is an area that not only affords families with great pleasure and excercise but also comes with major hazards and liabilities when accidents and pool drownings occur.  Obviously the home inspector is liable when they fail to report all of the findings that can increase the risk and not report the rules regarding safety and hazards.
